Choosing the best fuel option involves careful consideration of the fleet's applications, truck/engine sizes, routes, hauling needs, fueling capabilities, and more. - Learn what fuel options make the most sense for your fleet vehicles. - Understand the differences in fuel and equipment costs. - Discover what's happening in infrastructure build-out. - Find out what questions you need to ask to make the best comparison. - Determine how to calculate vehicle payback/return on investment. Featured speakers include Westport's John Howell, Senior Director of Marketing and Clean Energy's Jim Harger, Chief Marketing Officer. This replay presentation includes audio and PowerPoint slides. A gas carrier (or gas tanker) is a ship designed to transport LPG, LNG or liquefied chemical gases in bulk An LNG carrier is a tank ship designed for transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG). As the LNG market grows rapidly, the fleet of LNG carriers continues to experience tremendous growth. The majority of LNG carriers are between 125,000 and 135,000 m3 in capacity. In the modern fleet of LNG carriers, there is an interesting exception concerning ship size. This is the introduction of several smaller ships of between 18,000 and 19,000 m3 having been built in 1994 and later to service the needs of importers of smaller volumes.

Jonathan Gibbs will detail why natural gas is the best solution for the future of aviation, the environment and the global economy. In the second half the of talk, Mr. Gibbs will show us how the very first purpose built LNG aircraft will be better than anything we have seen before Jonathan Gibbs is the president of the Savion Aerospace Corporation, a company dedicated to bringing cleaner energy to aviation by building aircraft with tangible improvements to customer experience and lower operating costs. Mr. Gibbs founded the company with a fellow graduate student while competing in the M.I.T. CleanEnergy Prize in 2011. Mr. Gibbs has worked as an aerodynamicist in productdevelopment for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, as a researcher in M.I.T.’s Lab for Aviation and the Environment, and for th...
The UK's indigenous gas supplies are declining, and yet the UK is the second largest gas consumer in Europe and one of the fastest growing markets for gas imports. As such, the need for adequate infrastructure to support the import and storage of LNG in the UK is an important topic. A best practice example of industry working to pro-actively tackle potential issues is when Trelleborg Marine Systems supplied several docking, mooring and fendering products for the upgrade of jetty ten and the construction of a new jetty at the National Grid LNG terminal on the Isle of Grain, Great Britain.
GE’s small-scale LNG modular plants with standardized plug and play designs and a simplified plant control system mean faster plant commissioning times and reduced installation costs. https://www.geoilandgas.com/liquefied-natural-gas/gas-liquefaction/small-scale-lng-liquefaction-plant
Westport's innovative new design incorporates a fuel pump into the tank, allowing a mid-size truck to run on LNG for a more efficient system (while also eliminating fuel-starvation issues common to CNG engines). http://www.westport.com/
